These terms cover the mk-drive iPhone app. They are short because the app is simple: it is a client for a server you run.
The licence
Buying the app on the App Store gives you a licence to use it on the devices Apple's rules allow, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms say more than that agreement, these terms apply between you and the author; Apple is not a party to them and has no obligation to support the app.
The mk-drive server is separate software, published under the MIT licence. You may run it, change it and redistribute it under that licence's terms; nothing here narrows them.
Your drive, your data
The app talks only to the drive you point it at. The author does not operate that drive, cannot see it, and is not responsible for what is on it, for who has access to it, or for its availability. If someone else runs your drive, their rules apply to your account and your files. Keep a backup of anything you cannot afford to lose; a drive is a copy of your files, not a guarantee of them.
What the app is not
It is not a storage service, a cloud account or a backup product. It does not come with space, and it does not work without a drive to connect to.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. The author works to keep it correct and will fix what is reported, but does not promise that it is free of errors, that it fits a particular purpose, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law where you live allows it, the author is not liable for lost data, lost time or any indirect damage that comes from using the app. Your rights as a consumer under the law where you live are not affected by this.
Purchases and refunds
Apple is the seller. Prices, receipts, family sharing and refunds go through the App Store under Apple's terms. The author has no way to see your purchase or to refund it.
Changes
When these terms change, the date above changes with it. Continuing to use the app after a change means the new terms apply. If a change matters, the app's release notes will say so.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by Polish law, without taking away the protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer. Questions go to the author at the address below.
Write to the author
Questions, bugs and requests about mk-drive go to one address, read by the person who made it. Questions about your own files and your account go to whoever runs your drive.
